Flow Surf & Yoga Retreat Pagudpud

Last September 26-28, we made our way up north for our Flow Surf & Yoga Retreat at Kapuluan Vista Resort!

The resort is located in a beachfront spot nestled between 3 mountains. We fell in love with the resort's cozy and coastal feel - not too shabby, not too chic - just simple yet stylish interiors that made us all feel at home.

Tropical trees and plants surround the resort as well as a permaculture farm where most of the herbs and veggies used in the restaurant are sourced from.

Everyone gathered in the garden by the sea for the Gentle Flow yoga session led by our yogini, Monica Manzano. The peaceful surroundings, sounds of nature and the salty breeze make it such a perfect setting for a sunset yoga class. Warm cups of Moringana tea were served after.

The sea was flat when we first arrived Pagudpud, however, little peelers arrived the next morning just in time for our surf lessons!

Small but fun waves for the participants! Just the perfect conditions for beginners in surfing!

Our favorite nook in the resort is this beachfront lounge!

Kapuluan Vista Resort's menu is just glorious! Ingredients used are fresh and natural, there are no shortcuts as everything is prepared from scratch. Most of the ingredients used were picked straight from their organic garden farm so you won't have to worry about having artificial and toxic ingredients in your meals. They don't use the microwave to heat food as well, plus points for that! Lots of vegetarian options as well!

We conducted a Green Smoothie and Raw Food Workshop using ingredients and super foods from Moringana, The Healthy Grocery as well as fresh produce from the local market.

Yummy chia pudding bowls!

Detox water.

 Cheers to health and wellness!

After filling up our tummies with energizing smoothies and raw food snacks, we hit the beach and hiked up to Dos Hermanos Island during low tide!

We all had managed to hike all around this rocky island... quite and adventure!

Since PAL had cancelled our flights going back to Manila, we had an extra day to spend in Pagudpud so we took a 45 minute ride to Adams, a town up in the mountains for a whole day of nature activities.

Before we started our hiking tour, we had to cross this narrow bridge... yikes!

View from the hike up the mountain... lush greenery all over!

Stopped by this falls for a quick dip. Water was freezing cold but was refreshing!

We enjoyed lazily tubing along this river.

We stopped by a little shop selling local wine, cacao tablets, coffee and passion fruit juice!
Of course, we all brought back a few items with us!

And that ends our first retreat in Pagudpud! Thank you Alma and Mike and the staff of Kapuluan Vista Resort being such gracious hosts! We will definitely be back to Flow there again soon!
